Different user permisions in a workflow

I'm trying to create an issue workflow that would allow all users to move an issue from step A to step B, but then I'd like only certain users to be able to move from B to C to D. Is that possible? I'm setting people up with boards, so the limited users would be able to slide an issue over to B and thats it.

Also, can I set those permissions for just the one workflow (so users that are restricted on that workflow still have full permissions to other workflows)?

@Dennis_H We can do this in workflow transition conditions.

Copy the workflow and assign it to the required issue types in that workflow scheme, so that it won't affect issues with different issue type.

  • Create a group and add users to that.

  • Go to the required workflow transition(B->C or C->D)
  • In Conditions tab -> Add Conditions -> Select "User Is In Group" -> select the group name created -> Click "Update" -> Publish Draft workflow
