Disappeared tasks on board view (ask for modify the omit function)

Update:

My board is business project.

After I google it and do some experiments. "Board setting >> Hide completed issues older than (period)" only exist in software project>Kanban>company-manage

Oh my... that is so stupid, I just wanna turn off omit function. I'm new one in Jira, I didn't expect I should do so much homework to figure out those rules to avoid trap.

Okay another question, does any method to remove omit function in business project? or transfer business project to software project (Kanban-company mode)?

My tasks in DONE status are disappeared on board view, that is super concerning me 😢

As a project manager I need to review every task in anytime, Done tasks are very important records to my development team. We rely heavily on past records to assign further tasks.

I'm pretty sure filter is unavailable, I try to find out my missing tasks and see that in list view with group by status finally.

It is supposed to be 30 done tasks and 3 cancel tasks in total, but it only show 7 done tasks and 0 cancel task on board view.

After I google this problem, I notice this is a function of Jira

"You’ll only be able to view a done item in the Done column for 14 days of it being moved there. After 14 days, the board will omit the item. You’ll still be able to see it in the list, timeline, and calendar view."

But I wanna say this function is totally useless to me, and even cause big trouble, I cannot show board view to my boss 😢

Could you remove this omit function or modify it to an optional function please?

At the bottom of the board settings (general) page there is a "hide completed issues older than" dropdown :

Welcome to the community !

A person with the right board admin settings can change this issue retention or cleanup rules for any column on the board.

So it can easily be removed or set to a longer period
