Disaster planning with Jira Studio - no offsite/self backups.

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!

We noticed that you aren't able to request Jira Studio backups unless you're migrating to self-hosted. Since Atlassian won't do any off-site backups of their own, any data center disaster will wipe us completely out. How are other companies managing this risk? For SVN I know there is svnsync, but for ticketing & wiki I don't see any options available.

Yes. Since 2011, JIRA Studio has turned into Atlassian OnDemand. Instructions for using OnDemand's various backup managers are here:

Hi John,

We are planning on implementing a backup management tool to address this exact use case. We're hoping to have it ready by the end of the year. We are also in the process of working with our hosting partner to implement off-site backups.
