Do I need a JIRA Core license AND a JIRA Software license?

Hi Mike!

JIRA Software is a standalone product, so you won't need a separate JIRA Core license in order to run JIRA Software.

Hi Jonas, I have jira software and jira core on trial but nobody is using jira core. However when I let the trial expire, the team couldn't raise a ticket within jira software. What do I need to do to fix this?
