Do we need script runner plugin in jira to use any groovy scripts?

Hi,

We are using some script files for Exalate plugin syncing in Jira.

Do we need script runner plugin in jira to be installed to use the groovy scripts?

You do not need any additional plugins to run groovy scripts for Exalate.
Exalate already has everything for script's execution.

You could have a look at Groovioli or myGroovy plugins.

There are some alternative apps that can do it, but generally, yes, most Groovy Scripts are best run with SR.
