Does Jira Server support SAML SSO with ADFS natively, or is a plugin required?

When I do a Google search for this I find information about Data Center.  I just need to know if it is possible without a plugin.  If it is possible with a plugin, which plugin is best?

Hi Rob,

To answer your question directly, no, Jira Server does not have SAML/authentication via ADFS available without an app.

As for the best, this is somewhat subjective, so I suggest you search for "SAML" in the marketplace, have a read of the reviews and do a trial. You should be able to set up single sign on with ADFS during your trial. All of the teams are very willing and able to support you in your implementation.

Cheers, Jimmy

Hi @Rob Horan

Welcome to the Atlassian community. This is Prakash here from miniOrange.

If you're using the Jira server version then SAML SSO plugins are the option for you. There are very good plugins available in the marketplace.

Search link SAML SSO for Jira

We're a top vendor in the Marekaplce please take a look at our SAML SSO app.

Please reach out to miniOrange at atlassiansupport@xecurify.com or using the customer portal and the team will help you out to configure the plugin as per your requirements.

Kind regards,
