Does Jira Support Integration with Slack and other communication tools ?

Hi, 

I had a rather broader question. Many organizations and teams like ours, use Slack, HipChat etc.. Does JIRA have plugins to integrate to JIRA and Confluence ? If yes, can someone point me in that direction.

We are using Jirassimo JIRA Notifications and Emails to get JIRA (Cloud) notifications routed to Slack.

Works well for us... lot's of control over the message template, which is a very nice bonus.

Yes.  There are lots of add-ons for JIRA and some of them are built into the standard off-the-shelf installation (hipchat and Confluence amongst others).  You'll need to define what you really mean by "integration" and then go look at the marketplace if the functions you need are not part of the main installation.  (Not sure it needs to integrate with itself though.  It's already there)
