Does Jira contain versatile functions which allows a real time notes and link to be captured ?

Is Jira suitable for the following functions and tasks ?

1.  Allows everybody in the team to view the tasks ?

2.  Allows assignment of tasks to individuals ?

3.  Allows notes and links to be captured in tasks tracking of task status ? 

4.  Allows the tracking of task status, progress and target completion date ?

5. Allows the tagging or categorization and grouping of tasks ?

6. Allows us to generate reports on the status of tasks ?

7. Ideally allows email notifications for task assignments ?

In short, all of the above is possible in Jira with the appropriate configuration (most of this is standard out-of-the box functionality).

1. Everyone on the team can see issues in the project
2. Each task has an assignee that you can associate with an individual
3. Notes and links can be captured in the comments section of a task/issue
4. Use JQL (Jira Query Language) to search and save filters that report on task status, progress, and due date fields
5. You can group tasks into Epics (larger bodies of work) and add labels to categorize
6. ^ JQL can be used to report on issue statuses
7. Email notifications can be sent to assignees when they are assigned. Others can also 'watch' an issue and configure their notifications to receive an email when there is any activity on a task e.g. status change, due date change, comments, etc.
