I'd like to be able to create a list of Questions/Answer pairs in a Jira ticket. I've seen this done in one other project management system, but I forget which one. It seems like a great way to compartmentalize questions. And also a great way to chase up unanswered questions.
Can you do this in Jira in a good way?
Hello @Eiren Smith,
How do you solve the problem with the 'question/answer' mechanism you ask for?
Best regards, Rolf
Hi Eiren,
I am pretty sure nothing like that exists for a custom field type in Jira. The closes thing would be to possible use Select List (cascading) custom field type where you can have a set of options in the first list and then a different set of options in the second list based on the value selected in the first list. There are some limitations around that, but it is probably closest to what you are trying to do.
Best advice is to try it and see if is works for you. :-)

Hi @Eiren Smith - If this answerered your question for you, can you click on the Accept answer button above to close this one out? Thanks!

Eiren,
I would suggest using Atlassian's Confluence product, specifically Questions for Confluence. https://confluence.atlassian.com/questionscloud/questions-for-confluence-cloud-documentation-738361774.html
I do not know of any app that provides this functionality in Jira. You could always create an issue type of Question with a sub-task of Answer and then add them to a project where individuals could create questions and answers as a solution in Jira.
