Does Jirashell or jira-python support autocompletedata endpoint?

I want to retrieve some info from the "/rest/api/2/jql/autocompletedata" endpoint using python.

For now I do the call manually without using the jira-python rest api client or trying the Jirashell. But I wonder if I'm missing something from the docs. 

Is there any way to acces that endpoint using the jira-python rest api client?

You can via request package. as that parent of jira-python
