Drag and Drop Excel attachment to Jira Ticket

A user has reported that they get the attached error message when they try to attach the 20k excel file. They are able to attach the file to the ticket but the drag and drop function is not working.

Can someone help me determine on why the ticket does not support the dropped file?

The issue occurred with XLSX and CSV (they have not tried XLS)

Size has not made a difference

They have tried Edge and Chrome.

We are currently in version 9.14.1 of Jira Software. We have yet to find a solution but I requested your questions to the user.

@Hermeus could you try these few things?  Does it fail for both xls and xlsx files?  Does the file size make a difference? (do smaller files work) Have you tried a different browsers?  You didn't mention what version of Jira you were using.  If you're not on the latest, is it possible to update?  I do see a fix for xlsx files, but that was resolved a long time ago according to Atlassian's Jira Site.  I didn't see anything else related out there, but I just took a quick glance.

If you're on the latest code and you've tried all those things, I'd suggest getting feedback from Atlasssian Support.
