Due Date is not linked to advanced roadmap

Angelina Buhr September 14, 2021

Dear all,

we´ve been using company managed projects for our PMO and all tasks (epic, task, sub tasks) do have a start and end date (end means due date).

I am wondering why sometimes thoses informations are missing in the advanced roadmap. The advanced roadmaps shows that the due date is empty but this is incorrect- the informations are there?!

I also saw the same problems when using filters. Some issues are not shown even the due date is filled. Any idea on this?

Hi @Angelina Buhr

@Jacob Vu referred to a very good point, in the Advanced Roadmaps you can configure which Jira field is 'Start Date' or 'End Date'. It can be done in the plan configuration->scheduling section.

Maybe 'End Date' is not set to 'Due date' in your plan.

Hi @Angelina Buhr

Are you using the 'End Date' field or the 'Due Date' field? They're two separate fields which is why you might not be seeing the 'Due Date' field populated if you're only populating the 'End Date' field.

Hope this helps.

Jacob

Hi @Jacob Vu . Hi @Sara Hekmat ! Many thanks for your quick reply! Please apologize that my request was not that clear!

End date is just the name that I´ve been using to explain my problem. We don´t use end date instead of due date. We are only using the JIRA standard due date. The problem is not, that the due date is not at all visible in the advanced roadmap - the problem is, that the due date is shown up for some issues and for some not.

Please refer to the screenshot. As you can see: the most due dates are visible, some not.. But please refer to the left side to see that there is a due date in this task

Hi @Angelina Buhr, I couldn't figure out the issue with looking at the screenshots, it is very weird that only some of the due dates are not shown! I would recommend that you raise a support request via https://support.atlassian.com/contact/. Creating a support request will yield a faster response as a Support Engineer will be better placed to assist you here.
