Due Dates and Version Release Dates - Is there a way to enforce the due date to stay within the release date?

Hi all,

as my title question states, I want to allow project planners to set "due dates" but for there to be a check to ensure these dates don't exceed the release date.

For example: Soft Launch is set for 26/03 and a ticket is created to go into this version (soft launch) but the due date is listed as 27/03. I'd like there to be an error message or something similar to alert the user that they've selected a version outside of the release window.

Thanks,

Adam

You could use Jelly Service to automatically update the Due dates of those issues which are falling out of the release date.

You could a groovy script in the transistion you expect people to update to check the value of the Due Date.

Thanks Renjith, although I feel this answer although correct, is a little beyond my abilities.
