Our Jira templates worked beautifully for a long time up until recently. Now when we use a template to create an issue with sub-issues (subtasks) underneath, the dynamic variable is only applied in the main issue. It doesn't update the value of the variable in the subtasks. Can't figure out why this is happening. Anyone have an answer for this?

Thanks @Piyush Annadate _ACE Pune_  and @Bogna Krystian_Deviniti_  for your willingness to help! Here is a template that has worked in the past and here's the result where it updates the variable name in the main task but not the subtasks. Not sure why it has stopped working.

Can you post the automation details here?

Are you using an variable for the hostname? If so, try to create another variable in the subtask creation with same name having value as of actual host name.

Hi @kmrphy11

you please share the template configuration? It'd be easier to figure out :)

Can you share screenshot for the template wherein you have those variables?
