E-Mail notification for author

Hi,
I would like to implement in my workflow that the author is notified when his issue is set to a certain status. In my case, the author gets an email notification when his issue is set to "resolved" status. Can anyone help me?

Hi @Onur Cevik

You can setup Automation rule if you have multiple statuses where author needs to be notified.

Trigger : Issue transitioned
Condition : Your issue type and statuses
Action item : Send email

Hello @Onur Cevik

The answer of @Mohammed Aamer Khan is probably the easier way to send the notification.

Automation rules can bypass the notification scheme and personal settings.

If you want to notify the author in Jira when the problem is "solved", you need to allow one of these notifications:

The first concerns the resolution field (if you have set up your workflow correctly, resolution will be carried out automatically or using a special screen).

The second is for questions that change from gray or blue to green status (completed, closed, etc.).

Once this scheme has been defined, each user can, in his or her personal settings, choose whether or not to be notified by e-mail. If not, they will just receive an internal notification from Jira.
