E-mail notification when the dropdown field value is set

Hi All,

Is it possible to send an e-mail notification to user/users when the value of a dropdown field is set ?

Any ideas on how to do this is much appreciated !!

Hi Venkat,

The easiest way of doing this is to add users to the Notification scheme for the Issue Updated event. So, with this, each time an issue is update, be it setting a value of a drop-down field or adding a comment to the issue, a notification would be send to the user. Refer Image below for details.

If the drop-down field appears on any of the workflow transition screens then you will have to create a Custom Event as mentioned in the document below

Is that not an option to do it via workflow step? set value on a transition screen, then you can easily fire an event with notification...
