When adding user to team I get the very common error: 

We can’t add /name/

They may not have access to teams in your organisation.

Users are added to Jira and Bitbucket products and related groups, actively using it. 
Permissions are set for /Browse users and groups/ for groups using Jira.

So the user is in group "Jira-Users" group, correct?

If you navigate to https://admin.atlassian.com/ and click to Products » Manage Product (next to related Jira instance), is Product Access granted to the Jira-Users group? Please also check if there are multiple instances and if configuration is present in the desired instance.
