HI,
When I click Edit on an issue that has an assignee - under some unidentified circumstances (alas) - the assignee field on the Default form is empty and the assignee is set to unassigned on save.
Does anyone have a hint, what the "circumstances" might be. It is not a transitionn just a plain edit.
Thanks
Gerhard
Hello @Gerhard Kainz
IMHO this can only be done via a plugin code. For instance if you're using Script Runner, you may have defined a Behaviors in which it clears the assignee field.
I hope I was helpful

Thank You,
Unfortunately I did not find any custom scripting, that refers to Assignees. However I found out, that it only happens, if the issue is assigned to the current user.
I will keep ivestigating.

Hi,
It seems to be connected with the default assignee of the component. But this is jut a guess since it does not occur with all components.

Hmm, but you mentioned that it changes to Unassigned, that's why it was out of my suspections.

At that time we had not assigned responsibilities for all components. Since we changed our process (for other reasons) the problem disappeared. However the behavior was strange, but I am currently not able to reproduce it on our system.
