We own both the JIRA Service Management & JIRA Software. With the JIRA Service management, the users are getting notified via email.

However, with the JIRA Software it is not. I cannot see a difference in setup. Any thoughts on what might be going wrong?

Hi Anhtuan,

Make sure outgoing mail is enabled here: <insert site name>.atlassian.net/secure/admin/OutgoingMailServers.jspa

Check whether your notification schemes notify users on any actions here:

<insert site name>.atlassian.net/secure/admin/ViewNotificationSchemes.jspa

It is enabled already.

Apparently, it has to do with the fact that it's a JIRA Software instance and not a JIRA Service Management.

Is that what you think?

How to set it up might be slightly different then JSM, but Jira software also has notifications and should be able to notify users by mail.
