Email format suddenly changed

on midnight (GMT) on 5th March the emails from Jira suddenly changed from HTML to plain text. any ideas why and how I can change back as I cannot find it anywhere in my settings.

Check the user default preferences e.g system>(deafult) user preferences>Default outgoing email format

+1 for bug ifyou see html in setting but still recieve text. you should open a support rerquest.

somehow it was set as TEXT.

I'm the admin for the app so no idea how that changed.
