Hi,
we are currently trying to setup ldap authentication for JIRA but we do not have the users email address in our ldap directory and we cannot change that. We tried to set the usernames manually in the database but JIRA will not use them. Is there a way to set the user mail addresses manually or some other way to get around this issue?
kind regards
Hi Diego,
thank you so far but this doesn't work as expected. We need to sync the groups from ldap, that is only possible if we active "copy users on login" with the delegated ldap authentication. If we activate "copy users on login" the email address will get purged on every login (because the mail-field in ldap is empty).
Any ideas?
kind regards
Björn
Hello Bjorn.
For that you will need to establish a Delegated LDAP connection within JIRA. This will use LDAP just for authentication and you will have R/W access within JIRA users/groups.
Hope this helps
