Email notification don't work

Ekaterina February 21, 2012

We're testing Jira now, to decide whether we'll use it or not. The problem is the We don't get email notifications at all.

All actions in system creating assigning, commenting and so on issues are goes without notifications while by defaults they should be.

Why don't we see them?

Did you already try the send test mail? By default users are not notified about their own changes. You can change that in the user preferences.

I did't try to send test email. How can I do it? But i've created the issue logged in as two different users and pressed "watch" acting on behalf of each of them, than made a comment. There was notification :(.

To Send a test mail, enter administration mode, then you find it under General Configuration -> Mail servers. Did you also check if a notification scheme is assigned to your project? If yes, the scheme must be configured to send notifications when issues are commented.
