Our project lead would like to receive an email anytime anything happens to a ticket in JIRA. We have setup the notification schemes to send to the project lead, to a custom value field, to a watchers group (https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Watch-all-issues-in-a-certain-Project/qaq-p/111509), and other configurations in an effort send the project lead an email when a change occurs to a ticket. All to no avail.
JIRA does send an email to the original reporter, to the assignee, and to any other manually added watchers. So email is being sent from the server.
The Notification Helper states that the email should be going to everyone that we have it configured to. In reality, it is not sending email to everyone.
Any thoughts on how to resolved this issue?
This fixed part of the problem. https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/issue-comment-creation-and-mail-notifications-stop-working-278695497.html
The other problem was sending an email when an issue's status changed. Adding the project lead to the "generic event" event in notification schemes appears to have worked for this problem.
Hi Brett,
Could it be that emails triggered by actions of their own are not being sent?
There's a setting in the profile of a user to not send emails about things they did themselves. My Changes will be set to Do not notify me.
Best,
Maarten

Thanks Marten. No, emails are not being sent no matter who performs the action, except to the reporter and any one on the watch list. Configurations in the Notification Scheme are not being used.
