Emails to tickets for multiple projects

Duc Nguyen February 21, 2023

Currently, I have three active projects right now. What I want is to have a corresponding email to each project to create tickets. Should I create three different emails for them? If I use my frequent communication email, will it create a ticket that is not part of the support tickets?

Hi @Duc Nguyen
If you want to convert your emails to tickets, try to use Email&Tasks: Jira Cloud for Gmail. It's an add-on that was developed by my team. Email&Tasks allow you to manage your email box effectively. Also, as a package offer, we released an extension for Chrome browser.

Here's 30-day trial for you!

P.S. For teams up to 10 users app is free

Hi @Duc Nguyen

Welcome to the community.

You mention "support ticket", which makes me think that this request is about Jira Service Management. If that's the case, you will need a different email address for each support project. For more details, take a look at the following answer:

https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management/Using-one-email-address-for-multiple-Service-Desk-projects/qaq-p/1188099#M38272

If this is about creating Jira tickets and comments, there is a good article in the knowledge base that describes how you can leverage Gmail filters to create tickets in the right project:

Cheers,
Jens
