Emails triggering not working for Project

All I setup a new project recently "Automation Hub" - however I am not receiving emails when I create new Issues in Jira nor are the assignee's. I checked the "Mail" settings and everything is enabled. Appreciate any recommendations to troubleshoot,

what happens when you send a test email? Does that arrive?

I'd also check what notification scheme is used for that project.

These are all my ideas, let me know if any of that helped.
