For this project (https://nuhs-gcto.atlassian.net/jira/software/c/projects/ECMS/boards/90)

I am unable to access the start and due date. My JIRA admin said this is because we are on the basic plan instead of the premium. However, I don't think that should be the case. Could I check if this can be switched on in basic? Thank you.

Andrew

Hi @Andrew Makmur and welcome to the Community!

You have a timeline associated with your board. If you click in the roadmap section next to an issue there (try an epic first to be sure - in your project's board settings, there is a switch to enable/disable scheduling on task level issues. If that is not enabled, then you will only be able to schedule start and due dates on epics), a timeline bar should appear. This sets the start and due dates for that issue. There is nothing to switch on or off and this is not a limitation of your plan.

That you don't see the fields in your issue details, is related to screen configuration. The fields must be configured on your project's issue screens in order to be visible - that is something your Jira admin should take care of. If they are already on the screens, they may be hidden as long as there's no data in them. That should be resolved if you add dates via the timeline view.

Hope this helps!

Hello @Andrew Makmur

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Those fields are not restricted based on the subscription plan.

If the fields are not available on in your issue view, there are a number of possible reasons:

1. The may be marked as "hidden" in the field configuration associated with the issue type/project.

2. They may not have been added to the screen for this issue type in this project.

It would be beneficial if your Jira Administrator engaged in this conversation directly. If you don't have administrator permissions it will not be possible for you to to personally follow through on suggestion we make about debugging this issue.

Welcome to the community :)

I understand you are unable to see start and due date in your project.

Could you please check below and see if their added to the project fields, screens and issue layout of the project
