Epic/Feature committed/post date committed

Forsman, Benjamin August 11, 2023

Is there a way to show Jira Epics/Features dates they are committed to and dates for after they are committed to?

Example

PI Planning

Features A, B, and C are planned for and committed to.

Post PI planning

Feature D is pulled into current PI as committed but wasn't part of the original plan.

Am I able to get this data to show in a metrics visual?

There is no feature out of the box that re-estimates dates for you. How would you expect Jira to work out what the new dates are?

The closest you can get is with story points and sprints, where the burndown charts will show you when additional features were added to a sprint.

What I'm looking for is not dates that are for the same feature.

Example

Features A, B, C are prioritized and committed to while having a date attached for when they are committed (in theory).

Feature D and E were a last second priority business decided they were needed so those were pulled in as well with a later date attached.

Does Jira support this?  Which column would I be looking for?

I'm not sure I completely understand the question.

Each feature can have a "Due Date", that date can be different for every feature. So your initially committed features can share one date, where the additional features could have a different date assigned.
