Could I see in a report the following:
An epic, the stories under it, the tasks under each story and the sprint and stories assigned? Since there is a hierarchy defined in the system am assuming it should be there
It is not possible to pull this report from JIRA out of the box. This is because JIRA is not able to do hierarchical queries. However you could do queries like these :
"Epic Link" = XXX-1
that should give you all stories under this Epic. Similarly,
Sprint = 840
will give you all Stories and Tasks under the Sprint.
If you want the entire hierarchy in one query, you would need to use some third party plugins.
PS : I found a related post here that has some suggestions using Tempo plugin : https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/JQL-to-show-all-issues-AND-subtasks-in-the-Epic/qaq-p/346433
If you do not want to use the third party plugins, you may also pull this information directly from the database :).
Hope that helps!
