Is this a company managed or team managed project?

Under the Columns configuration for the board, you need to remove the Epic statuses from the board columns.  For example, we have the following columns, and underneath each column value below are our mapped statuses (this is our set of statuses; yours are likely different):

  • Ready
    • Ready
  • Dev In Progress
    • DEV In Progress
    • Pending Review
  • QA Ready
    • QA Ready
  • QA In Progress
    • QA In Progress
    • QA Executing
    • Scripting
    • Auto PR Review
  • Done
    • Done
  • Accepted
    • Accepted

You will see a column in the board configuration called Unmapped Statuses - all of your Epic statuses should show up here; if they're not here, you need to drag them to this column.  This will prevent any of your Epics from showing up anywhere on your Kanban board.
