Hello @Giovanni Lancianese

If you're willing to use a third-party application, I can suggest trying our Elements Copy & Sync app that allows you to clone issues from one project to another with all their content (summary, description, custom fields, comments, attachments, etc.) and their child issues.

You can trigger the cloning using Automation.

Don't hesitate to try our app, it's free during 30 days and stays free under 10 users.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards,

Clara

Hi @Giovanni Lancianese

I'm Luka from codefortynine 👋

If you are willing to try a third-party app, you could try our app Deep Clone for Jira.

With Deep Clone for Jira, you can:

  • Clone Attachments: Easily clone attachments from the original issue to the new one.
  • Bulk Clone: Clone multiple issues at once, including their attachments.
  • Flexible Configuration: Configure what gets cloned and what doesn't, allowing for a customized cloning process.
  • Integrate with Jira Workflows: Seamlessly integrate the cloning process into your existing Jira workflows with Post Functions, Automations, or Presets.

Hi @Giovanni Lancianese

Sadly it couldn't be done with automation in Cloud:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-78891

But it seems now you can:

https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/jira-automation-actions/#Clone-issue

This action will create a new issue and copy across all field data possible, including the ability to copy attachments by selecting the Attachment field from the list of supported issue fields and then choosing the source issue from which attachments need to be copied.

This seems to be the option:

2024-01-04 14_37_02-Automation - Jira — Mozilla Firefox.jpg

It seems it will be added for DC in the future:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-5052

Regards

Aaron
