Hi,

I recently completed a new installation of JIRA 7.6.2 version and after the installation I see that jira core is working and I am able to access the jira to create projects. However, when I go into Applications, I see the below message:

"JIRA Software is licensed but not currently installed."

My Jira is installed on a linux server and I used an archive file to install the jira. The same archive were used by others for installation and they are not facing this issue.

I have also compared the settings with other installation and dont see any difference.

Any pointers to solve this issue?

thanks,

Navin

Hey Navin,

This can happen if the Jira Core installer has been used instead of the Jira Software installer.

You should be able to install the Jira Software application directly from the Versions & Licenses screen - there should be an install button located there.

If any errors appear from doing this can you please take a screenshot and additionally check the JIRA Home Directory/log/atlassian-jira.log to see if any errors are being logged during the installation.

Cheers,

Keri
