Error on setup: 403 The request could not be satisfied.

Jason Schaufele July 26, 2023

When trying to run the Jira install wizard, after clicking Go to My Atlassian I see

403 error.

Request could not be satisfied

Request blocked. We can't connect to the server for this app or website at this time. There might be too much traffic or a configuration error. Try again later, or contact the app or website owner.
If you provide content to customers through CloudFront, you can find steps to troubleshoot and help prevent this error by reviewing the CloudFront documentation.

I've cleared my browser history and cache. Tried on both Brave and Safari. Waited. Checked the status. Turned off shields, adblock, allowed cookies.

Hello,

Ben from the Atlassian Networking Team.

We believe this was caused by a over-zealous web application firewall rule.

We believe we have fixed the problem. Can you please retry and let us know?

If it's still not working, can you please give us the "Request ID" printed at the bottom of the screen?

Ben.

I logged in directly in the browser, then the extension setup worked just as expected, and my Jira site is connected to VS Code again.

Hi @Jason Schaufele

Looks like you're not the only one - see: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/403-ERROR-The-request-could-not-be-satisfied-Request-blocked-We/qaq-p/2431112

I can let Atlassian know, but I'd also encourage you to report this issue via https://support.atlassian.com/
