Exclude or clear custom field values for a cloned issue on create (b/c of cloning) to New status

Hi Team,

We are receiving very frequent request from our users, to clear or exclude the field values before cloning the jira tickets. Could you please advise us how to achieve this request ?

Date type fields, assignee, etc.

We have Script Runner, JMWE, JSU and JIRA Version 8.20.4
