Export Jira Issues and attachments to Excel or PDF

Does anyone know of a way to export out a a list of Jira issues with attachments/screenshots into a PDF/Word of Excel format?

Hey,

As Daryl wrote, the standard Excel export feature is not going to export neither your screenshots, nor other type of attachments.

The JIRA PDF View Plugin can do both. You can display the image type attachments right in the PDF (optional), but even better you can embed any type of attachment right in the PDF (optional)!

For example, if you have a logfile attached to a bugreport, or if you have a Word document attached to an issue, those will be stored within the PDF. Then anyone who reads the PDF, can open and save those embedded files! This is actually a pretty powerful feature of the PDF fileformat.

Note: if you still insist on using Excel, then the Better Excel Plugin gives you much better results than the built-in function, see this comparison.

It can surely export all issue fields, but attachments and screenshots are not really fitting the XLSX concepts.

for PDF exports there is Simple PDF Export for Jira :)
It's available for all Jira Cloud instances.

Hello,

You may try a third party plugin called Xporter for JIRA, which export issues/search result to word file/pdf. The demo seems to offer a feature whereby exporting to pdf will also attach the the screenshots containing on the issues.

JIRA can only export your search results from the Issue Navigator to Microsoft Excel without the screenshot and attachment. This can be a useful way to format data and create your own customised reports, graphs and charts.
