I created a CSV export all open issues. The issue type (Epic-Story-task-etc) is in the Issue Type column. What I would like to see is the relation between the Epic and its sub tasks. Or on the tasks which upper Epic or Story is on top. Or clustered in rows. First row is Epic, second, third, etc is task till a new line of Epic is started.
How to created a better clustered overview?
We created a plugin called Agile Docs which can create this style of CSV for you.
Tasks and Stories are displayed as line items under Epics and Sub-Tasks are displayed under Tasks until a new line of Epics is started.
There is a hierarchyLevel field which indicates which level of nesting you are at (top level Epic is 1, sub-task is 3). You can also set the Epic Link or Parent field to display so you have a field which links your Tasks and Stories to Epics or Sub-tasks to Stories.
Let me know if this is what you're looking for.
Best Regards,
Rhys
If you would be interested in a third party add-on, you can try out Agile Tools. We have csv export option which exports epic hierarchy and progress based on story points and time estimates, as screen shot attached.
Agile Tools - Epic Tree and Time in Status
The add-on allows you to manage and visualize your Epics hierarchy with option to view all your custom fields on a single screen.
Key features of Epic Hierarchy:
Along with Epic Sum, you also get 3 other important functionalities within the same plugin, Links Hierarchy and Multiple Time in Status reports (to track your issues) and Worklogs report.
