I am trying to find a closed issue in a project. The old issue numnber does not forward to the new issue, I don't know if that history was lost in the 4.4 upgrade. ANyway, the keywords I think should find the issue don't. I know that there was a pdf attachment in this issue. Is there any way to search for issues with a pdf attachment?

Hi,

maybe you (or an administrator) can search the folder where the attachments are stored (usually jira-home/data/attachments) and give you a list of all the attachments of type pdf.

The attachments are stored in a folder named by the issue key to which they belong.

Hope you don't find too many pdf-files in your data storage ;-)

Best regards

Thomas

Our admin was able to find the issue by searching for the pdf. I wish there was a way to do an attachment search for a general user.
