I'm trying to import stories from a CSV file. I don't get any errors and stories are uploaded successfully with all the fields, expect Fix Version, appears as empty.
Do I need to follow specific value format? or is just the name as it appears in Jira
Hello @Alejandro Cortez
Welcome to the Atlassian community!
Only the Project Administrators for a project can create Versions for that project. You would then need to include in your CSV file the Version values they defined. If you wanted to associate more than one Version with the issue you are creating, you would need to have those values called out in separate columns with identical names.
You can find more information about that here:

Versions are already defined in Jira, when I upload CSV file, everything is saved correctly expect Fix Version field

Please provide a sample of the CSV file showing how you have included the Versions data.
Also, have you been allocated the "Resolve issues" permission in the destination project? That is required to be able to set the Fix Versions field.

I can't attach the file, here is a screen capture of the csv:
And the version value "SRF Update Windows 1.0" from "Fix Verison/s" column already exists in Jira

How are you accessing the import functionality? Are you a Jira Admin accessing it through Settings > System > External System Import? Or are you accessing it from the Search Issues screen?

Yes, I have that permission, in fact, all users have that permission enabled.
For second question, I'm accessing it from the search issues screen

Can you show us the Fix Version you have specified in the Releases page for the destination project? Is its status Unreleased, Released, or Archived?
Are you a Jira Administrator? Can you have a Jira Administrator for your instance try this import to see if it works for them?
What version of Jira are you using?

I'm not a Jira Administrator. After some checking, it looks like FixVersion field is not part of the story type issues. We will be adding that field and then check again

I met the same issue.
I'm JIRA Admin, when I import csv via Settings > System > External System Import,Fix Verisons would display.
When I import csv via Search Issues screen, Fix versions would miss.
Both are the same csv and configuration.

Hello @Ming
What do you mean by "Fix versions would miss"?
Do you mean that in the import step where you map your import data to Jira fields, there the "Fix Version" field is not available? Or that you map the field but the values are not added to the issues?
Given that the original post here is almost a year old and already has an Accepted Answer, and only the author, watchers, and responders on the post have seen your question, I recommend that you start a new Question post for your issue. That will make your issue visible to more of the community, and you are more likely to get helpful responses.
