Hi, I am noticing that although in Next-Gen projects you can flag issues, there is no longer the ability to comment when that happens. This, along with the forced commenting when resolving issues in Classic, were really nice touches. With Flags, the comments made when flagging, or unflagging, created a label in the comment that the comment was associated with a flag. It would be great if you guys could bring this back - or, maybe it's still there, I just can't find it?
Would be grateful for an answer here...
Hi Angelica, thanks.
I have to say this is another disappointment as I feel like my list of all the features I liked in Jira Classic, which are not in Next-Gen, is growing by the day. Could you tell me if you guys generally intend to bring over all the features of Classic eventually to Next-Gen? I can in theory wait, but I would like to know if you plan to retire parts of Classic or not.
Currently, our dev team is working on the features that are shown on the roadmap:
We can't tell if all features will be implemented or not, they are still implementing some improvements and new features, that's why the classic projects are still available for everyone.
We have a feature that contains many subtasks with features that customer needs, you can watch the features that you would like to have to receive updates from our dev team:

Hi there,
Thank for reporting this issue to us.
I tested on my local environment and it's not possible to add the comment when flagging the issue and also there is no configuration that we can change to make this possible.
Based on your question, I created a feature request for our dev team to check:
Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates about the feature.
Regards,
Angélica
