Full hierarchy showing on jira plan even when unselected

I have a timeline view for 10 projects grouped together. Our heirarchy is as follows:

1. Initiative

1.1 Epic

1.1.1 Task

1.1.1.1 Sub-Task

I have a label that I want to filter on. I have configured everything for the plan view, but for some reason, even though I have "Show full hierarchy" unselected, I am still getting the full hierarchy.

We are attempting to make an activation schedule for a building and ONLY want to show work items with that label and not their parent(s). If I filter out Initiatives and epics I get closer to what I want, but I also want sub-tasks to appear and NOT the parent task IF it doesn't have the label applied.

I've attached a screenshot of my filter.Screenshot 2025-08-12 135309.png

Normally this community is pretty quick on the responses, and thus I think what I am requesting, is likely not possible. Thus, this is not an answer per se, but just me acknowledging I may need to change tactics.
