Hello Community,

due to european laws we need an accessible page on every website regarding the private policy and impressum.

The Jira Support only gave away these guides:

  1. Perform a backup of Jira and the footer.vm file.
  2. Stop Jira.
  3. Edit the following lines of the <install directory>/atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/templates/plugins/footer/footer.vm following the steps provided here.
  4. Restart your Jira.

and this link: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-edit-the-footer-in-confluence-163415355.html
for Confluence.

However the problem is that we can not create an underlying page with the privacy policy and terms of agreement without leaving the page (for example Jira Login page or Confluence Login page).

Did anyone have this issue and how did you solve it?

GDPR is a very important and essential topic. This topic is becoming more and more relevant for companies, but it also involves many and large cost risks if you are not GDPR-compliant!
Actonic has been dealing with the topic GDPR since 2015 and is the only provider worldwide which offers the possibility to become full GDPR compliant!
All relevant information about GDPR including the solutions can be found here:

Be GDPR compliant, Part 1: everything you need to know about getting consent in Jira and Confluence

Be GDPR compliant, Part 2: ensure the right to erasure, find and anonymize PII in Jira

Disclaimer: I work at Actonic, the vendor publishing the aforementioned app. I'm posting this because we want to provide high quality solutions and make them available to people who need them. I hope someone finds our product useful. Thank you.

The route that i took to solve this problem is to add custom html.

In that case i add an javascript that add the content that i want to all the pages.

You can do that on Confluence administration -> Look and Feel -> Custom HTML

@Qvest Digital AG it sounds like you need to customize the login gadget. Check out this article for customizing it for Jira:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/customize-the-login-gadget-in-jira-server-225122084.html

Confluence looks to be a bit different. Check out this article too:
