My question is
How do GH Burndown charts recongise an increase in story points when say a product owner adds stories during a sprint? In such a case total story points for the project have increased and the stories need to be recognised when they were found (as in which sprint), however intial story points for the project remains static.
This needs to be reflected in the burndown graph as you may have found 20 new story points during sprint 4/interation 4 but as far i can tell story points aren't recorded against when they were found and the burndown chart line will only reflect total story points - each iteractions earned story points.
As i cant see where you keep track of intial story points for a project i find it hard to say that your burndown chart is appropriately showing what i need to see?
Correct me if i am wrong!
The new burndown charts in the latest GreenHopper will show you this, but not the 'classic' burndown chart. See the release notes for 5.10
