GITHUB Cloud User sync with JIRA Cloud

Hi Team,

We are presently using Github cloud for sofware repository and to do basic project management. but we would like to use Jira cloud to do project management and leave Github for repository. currently we have users on github repository. I have created account on JIRA cloud and installed 3rd app like Git integration with JIRA. but it only syncs the repositories. the application doesnt sync the existing Git users. hence while creating project and issues under JIRA we are unable to assign the issue to a user. 

can you please help us or suggest us how to sync user from Git Cloud to JIRA cloud?

The users on GitHub cannot be synced automatically into Jira as they are private to GitHub.

If you can get the list of email address of all users from your GitHub account, you can invite them into Jira using https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/invite-and-remove-users-744721624.html

I am very new to JIRA and GITHUB. anyway as per my understanding we are using GIT as repository and want to use JIRA for issue management since GIT has limitations with test management. 

If I create or now does the developer need to login to both system to update the repository and also to update issue. 

or can it be done by logging in at one place. 

also if the tester assigns the issue to a developer in Jira, will it show the same under github repository for that developer.

Hello...did you get a response as to how see the Github issues in JIRA?  I am at the same spot at you...can only see linked repositories...I invited my GitHub users..but still do not know how to go forward..Thanks Eliz
