Good morning I would like to understand and start to use Jira. The key objectives for my team using jira are to reduce the reporting burden on the work projects and to provide enhance management information.
I would like to know if we can ask staff to update Jira rather than weekly and monthly PowerPoint updates and if there are similar outputs on Jira or we have to manually extract the information from Jira?
What kind of a management information we can get from Jira? Will it be able to show timelines for the work streams or work projects at all? Highlight which tasks are overdue and which have been completed etc, how can we present this information?

Hi Amarjit - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

In addition to Mayur's suggestion, you can also use the filters you create with JQL inside of dashboards which will give you more options like graphs and charts and lists, and two-dimensional reports, etc.

Hi @Amarjit Ghatahorde

Good Afternoon and Welcome to Community.

FYI... Jira Software Documentation

As per the question, We have options called JQL in Jira where you can search through JQl as per your requirement. And for representing the data that you will get from JQL you can export the information or Issues in XML, CSV, Word Format.

In Jira, We also have features called Reports: Includes 10+ reports.

for example, Burn Down Chart, Velocity Chart, Sprint Report, etc.
