Getting time grouped dashboard charts

Looking for a way to draw line charts on the dashboard:

  • On the X axis is time.
    • Based on a system/custom date field. (custom field is important)
    • Should be able to group by years, months, weeks, days.
  • On the Y axis is the number of work items in each group.

Here is the important part: The X axis should show a real date/time axis. That means, if I have work items from May and July in my result set and the gadget is configured to group them by month, the X axis should also display June as 0. (Of course, the same goes for year, week, and day grouping as well)

Hello @Emre Toptancı _OBSS_,

I am Marlene, product manager of Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards.

Another option might be the "Quick Time Series" gadget that is provided by our app.

You can check out Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards without installation on our demo dashboards.

Hi @Emre Toptancı _OBSS_,

Unfortunately, this cannot be done by using Jira's default gadgets. You will need a plugin for this.

If case you want to try a plugin, have a look over our Great Gadgets app. It offers a Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget that will allow you to get the chart you want with just a few clicks.

To obtain this chart the gadget should be configured like this:

Also, to group data by years, month, week, etc you must format the date field accordingly on the More Settings tab. In my example I used "MM" format to group data by month.

If you need any help with the configuration of this gadget, feel free to contact support@stonikbyte.com at any time.

Danut.
