Hi @Florian Kreutzer ! 👋

Thanks for your question—just to clarify, could you share a bit more about what you mean by “automate the goals metric based on linked work item status”?

Are you looking to:

  • Automatically update a goal’s progress based on how many linked issues are in "Done"?

  • Measure how long linked tasks stay in certain statuses?

  • Track time-based metrics like lead time or cycle time per goal?

There are a few ways to approach this, depending on what exactly you’re trying to track.

If you're looking for time-in-status data—such as how long work items stay in progress, how much time each assignee spends on tasks, or how often statuses change—our team at SaaSJet develops an app called Time in Status that could help.

Based on work item statuses, you can automatically measure time-based performance indicators like:

  • Lead time

  • Cycle time

  • Resolution time

  • Waiting time

  • ...and more.

In this app, you can visualize these with charts, reports, or dashboard gadgets.

Happy to guide you if you can share more about the metric you're aiming to automate or visualize!

Hi @Florian Kreutzer

I can't say I got it 100%.

Which product are you using for Goals? What exactly is the goals metric you want to automate?
