I am needing to figure out how to move a Issue Type = BUG from one project to another.
For example, a BUG is located in Project = A and I want to move it to Project = B
Perhaps I dont have the required permissions to perform such action?
If you want to Move any issue from Project A to Project B,
1. Check if you have Move Issues permission in Project A
2. Check if you have Create Issues permission in Project B
3. If yes for both the above, then click on the 3 dots to the right side and choose Move.
4. If not, then if you are not the Project Administrator, please contact the administrators for these 2 projects and ask them to assign you to the Project role that has the above mentioned permissions. Hope this helps!
Hi @Thomas Scott Van Emburg,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
Yes, you need permissions in both projects to Move Issues, Edit issues and Create Issues in order to move issues between projects. Once you have that then you can click on the three-dot menu up in the right-hand corner when viewing the issue and you should see Move as one of the options.
