Hi,
After trying to upload a 14GB file, that upload failed after a while. But instead of just telling me, that this file was too big, I can't upload files at all any more. Instead, a progress indicator is presented infinitely.
Can somebody help me remedy this problem?
Thanks
Hi, @martin3482
First of all, our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. A couple of minutes ago, we started to receive multiple reports of problems being observed with uploading and viewing attachments in Jira.
An internal incident was raised and we are currently working to have the situation normalized. In order to continue tracking this incident, we have raised a public report of this problem, accessible through the link below.

At this moment, we have noticed that the errors that were being returned previously are no longer happening. Still, we will continue to work and monitor the situation to ensure this has been normalized.
Kind regards,
Gabi

Yes, cloud. I thought tagging my question with „cloud“ would be ok. Anyway, thanks for your responsiveness, Matt.

Hi Gabi,
thanks for letting me know.
I‘ll check it again, tomorrow.
Best, Martin.

Quit your browser and restart it. Your session is borked
p.s. 14GB?! I limit uploads to 20MB

Hi Matt,
thanks for your quick response.
Sorry, the 14GB was a typo - the file's actual size is 14MB.
I've tried the following, but all didn't help:
- Restart browser (Chrome)
- Delete all browser data (Chrome)
- Use different browser (Safari)
I fear, that something is wrong with my server side account data, now.
Martin

When you upload a file, Jira does check the size.
I'd check to see if anyone else is having problems. It's possible the file upload caused an Out Of Memory error, though unlikely
