Hi Atlassian Community!
I am trying to set up specific Slack notifications from multiple projects to a single Slack channel. My understanding is that I can no longer use Jira automations with the webhooks being deprecated or that I can create my own Slack app (which I'm not sure that I am capable of creating). For that reason, I have been using the Slack app.
The problem that I am trying to solve is too many notifications. Although I can use JQL to filter the issues that should be included, with the only triggers being Created, Updated, Deleted, the channel ends up with more notificaitons on updates than we want.
For example, the request is to send a Slack message when a specific issue type moves from one project to another. I have a field that is populated when the ticket moves so that I can use JQL for the tickets to include but because I can't specify that field for the updates, it will send a notification for every update to that ticket once the field is populated.
Lastly, not being able to configure the fields shown for the message decreases its value as well. I am hoping that I'm missing something that I am capable of doing (Slack App), does not require an add-on, or anything that functions more like the automation options for Slack notifications.
Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions!
Jennie
Update:
I found a YouTube video that was super helpful in setting up a new Slack App that then allowed me to create an incoming webhook and then I can use the automations again! So far, it's working great! Thank you for the suggestion above as it made me dig in further to what I could accomplish! And included the link for anyone else interested!

hi,
You can use Jira Automation features such as "Send Slack message" or "Send web request" to build custom notification workflows.
Try creating a Slack bot and setting up automation rules so that you only receive the alerts you really care about!

I'm not sure that I am equipped to create a Slack bot but I assume that I need that to set up a new webhook that is still able to be used rather than the deprecated ones that used to be accessed in the Jira automations.
