We need to clean up some of our workflows to remove unused statuses. The problem is that I don't know which boards might be using the status. The list of statuses will show you when workflows use it, but I would like to know which Boards use it. Is this possible in JIRA Cloud?
Hi John,
There isn't a direct way to know which boards the status(s) are associated with unfortunately. The Boards itself are dependant on the Project that it is being associated with through the JQL filter (under the board settings).
However, it is possible to know which Workflow the Status are associated with by viewing the Status: https://<instance>.atlassian.net/secure/admin/ViewStatuses.jspa
I can already see what workflow is associated with the status. But a board is also associated with the workflow, too, not just the project. So it should be possible to connect those dots. Is there an open support issue for this?

For clarification, the statuses on the Column Management is only visible when the project that carries the statuses are included in the board's saved filter.
Nevertheless, it might be possible to drill down through the backend. I've raised a support ticket on your behalf moving forward.
Cheers,
Syauqi

Thanks, Syauqi! And that's very interesting about it only be linked to the filter with the project in it - very helpful. We have some boards that are simply based on a filter for a particular Epic. Always wondered how JIRA knew which statuses to put towards the top in the list of statuses to the far right.
Thanks again!
