Hi,

eazyBI add-on for Jira offers various reporting features related to the Jira and popular add-on data. There is a standard measure in the data model of eazyBI calculating the time issue spent for some status.

Please, have a look at the eazyBI documentation here or here for more information. You can check the possible reporting features on the demo account.

Best regards,
Janis, eazyBI support

Hi,

Do you really need to use JQL to get this duration? If not necessary, you can have a look at our free add-on Status History.

Cheers,

JQL can only return issues, and you can set it to show created date an resolved date.

That said, you've got several ways to calculate the difference between both dates:

  1. exporting the results and calculating the date diff through spreadsheet functions
  2. use a third party plugin, like ScriptRunner scripted field for registering that difference, Jira Misc Custom Field's calculated field, this or this, eazyBI report...

The first approach doesn't need any third party plugins.

Hope it helps.
